War can be waged overtly or covertly, but the aims are the same: to attack and diminish one’s enemy/enemies. It’s no secret what many right-wing pols and their supporters think about the residents of some American cities. One only has to note the constant references used about the number of gun deaths in Chicago that are used to derail calls for sensible gun control legislation to understand this. They pretend that only a majority black city has gun violence problems when the truth is that America has a gun violence problem not found in any other first tier nation.
