One of the people I follow on Twitter yesterday RT’d a couple of articles from American RW media (prison planet and Steve Crowder, in fact) saying that there were daily explosions in Malmö, and parliament was going to pass a law preventing citizens from buying bulletproof vests. (This was referring to some MP named Allan Widman proposing a bill.)

Well, it took me but a few minutes of Googling to find reports from Malmö saying nothing of the kind, which I shared with her. I also advised her not to believe anything parroted by right wing media in the USA (she’s in Israel), because they skew the news deliberately against immigrants and especially Muslims.

Also, the Swedish “news” sources which claim what the RW “Media” in the US claim are closely allied with SD (Sverigedemokraterna, Sweden Democrats), which is a successor (via Sverigepartiet (Sweden Party), Bevara Sverige Svenskt (Keep Sweden Swedish)) to Nordiska Rikspartiet (Nordic Reichs Party), which was an openly national “socialistic” party.
Some of the alt-right “news” sources here in Sweden have also struck deals with Russian media outfits, e.g. Sputnik, RT.
