Because it’s a (I believe) seven day tracking poll. Meaning the events of the previous day have little-to-nothing to do with the results of the next day’s poll.

For example, right after the DNC, all the tracking polls were still showing a close Obama lead or a slight Romney lead. After a few days, the polls caught up to the convention.

In this case, the Gallup poll is showing the heat from Romney’s Libya fuckup dying down in the day or two before the video came out.

But the Egypt/Libya stuff should have shown up and I would have thought it would have also had an impact.
