That is pessimistic. 2018 was unprecedented in terms of midterm turnout, and Trump was not even on the ballot to motivate people to come out to vote. We heavily outnumber them; at best they are 46%.

The reason we did not overtake the Senate in 2018 is that not enough Republicans were up for reelection. We can do it next year.
