I have yet to see anything about a potential mass exodus of not only people, but businesses that would not want to remain in that State once it left the Union and the effects it would have on the population and economy.

That would be because you missed kirkspencer’s comment.

For example there are a lot of international companies with headquarters or major regional offices in Texas. Will they stay? That, in the end, is the make or break for the state.
