I was blessed with long-lived grandparents. 3 of my great grandparents were alive when I was born:
Paternal grandmother’s mother died in 1954 when I was 5. She was 75.
Paternal grandmother’s father died in 1960, when I was 11. He was 82.
Maternal grandmother’s mother died in 1988, when I was 38. She was 102.
Both of my grandfathers died in 1980, when I was 30. They were 81 and 78.
My paternal grandmother died in 1990 when I 40. She was 86.
My maternal gramdmother died in 2013 when I was 64. She was 105.

My maternal grandmother died in 2005, born in 1913.

My mother is now the oldest person in my family, and I am second-oldest. I have outlived all the men anyone can remember by many years (I am on borrowed time, apparently).
