Back from recess, the arguments have turned to an appropriate fine. Defense says that Manafort doesn’t have the money to pay a hefty fine. SCO says he has two remaining homes valued at $4 million and that he hasn’t supplied recent financial info.

Also, Judge Ellis overruled the third objection the defense had to the PSR regarding bank losses. All three objections were overruled, though Ellis noted that it wasn’t crucial to the entire sentence calculus.

heres why this argument is utter bullshit:

- in parts of this country they put you in jail if you cant pay your fines
and they dont let you out
- even egregious ones imposed by the court they know you could never pay

a lot of those people can’t even afford a lawyer

manafort has a lawyer arguing on his behalf that he has no money to pay fines
