So suppose we find ourselves, three years hence, with a Republican president presented with the opportunity to negotiate a deal with Iran that will see all of the demands Republicans want fulfilled, from abandonment of uranium enrichment to renouncing support of terrorism. You would approve of Senate Democrats being able to vote down that deal?
