Did anyone notice that Roberts called Obama Senator, even though Obama had turned in his resignation a month ago? I realize he was trying to talk to him and honor where he’s been, but it was a poor step for Roberts.

I believe the title is there for life. If he no longer served, he would still be Senator Obama. Kind of like the way George Foreman is still called Champ. Another example, is that Bush is still entitled to be called President Bush as well.
