Newt Gingrich is the consummate “culture warrior”. There are few figures who have done more to foster the divisive state in which we now find American politics.

We do not need a culture warrior for a president. We need that mentality as far from the political scene as humanly possible. It is destructive, divisive, and advances no policies that couldn’t be better advanced by other means.

I am frankly amazed that anyone would choose him as a candidate.
