I don’t know if the recent record flooding in my area was related to global warming. Colorado is known for crazy weather - maybe it was just a new crazy thing. But aren’t there an awful lot of extreme weather events lately? Tornados, hurricanes, draught, flooding?

I assume that Hurricane Sandy, impacting Manhattan and other areas, is an example of this. I’m no expert, but it’s safe to say that to have a hurricane in North America, off the Atlantic Ocean, you need warm air. That’s why we have hurricanes in South Carolina, but not Maine. Well, maybe Maine should be “not yet”. The Atlantic Seabord isn’t exempt from global warming, so we will, unfortunately, see hurricanes that hit further north than we’re accustomed to.
