I don’t know what Kerry said to cause outrage, but the ‘soda can bomb’ is the bomb ISIS is claiming brought down the Russian plane in Egypt-a bomb put in a soda can that had been sawed in half, filled with explosives and detonator and then put back together.

Kerry clumsily worded a statement about the rationale that terrorists use to justify their actions, and of course the usual suspects jumped all over it as if he was justifying terrorism.
