I’m finding it difficult to get used to using “them” and “their” instead of gendered pronouns when a person isn’t identified.
My inner grammar nazi gets upset about misusing a plural word every time I try.
On the other hand “you” used to be plural, hence “Bob, are you going with us?” Instead of “Bob, is you going with us?” You’d never say “Bob are going with us.” It’s the “you” that make singular plural, as it were.
And yeah, I have an inner grammar Nazi too.
