In fairness, the FAA is doing their job. I don’t think anyone has a bad thing to say about what the flight crew managed to do. But nevertheless, we need to learn everything we can about crew performance. If they were on anything it may change the FAA’s perspective on the drugs used by the flight crew. The FAA’s view of what is bad for a flight crew is extremely restrictive. It might not need to be that way.

Oh, and one other thing: what older pilots seem to lack in dexterity, they more than make up for in judgment. Among private pilots there is a research project going on right now for performance and medical standards for Octogenarians!

I wouldn’t hesitate to get on board with Captain “Sulley” if he feels well enough to fly.
