I’m in the minority here, clearly, but I think that Colbert’s satire was cringeworthy. I don’t think one needs to continue to disseminate racial stereotypes when doing a send up of racists. I’m not sure why it is that her point is so difficult to understand. But it appears to be. I have to say I’m a little disappointed.

Isn’t Colbert as a satirist comedian being lost in all of this? All he did was use a stereotype to make a point. Cringe worthy…yes as it should be and I should think he had that very thing in mind when he did it. Good comedy should cause some cringing.

And her point was lost too, the minute she made her comment about liberal white males. That shows she is really no different. She is NOT know for being a satirists, so what is her point for calling out another group?

Still…where is the concern for the whole thing that set it off. That would be Dan Snyder dancing around changing the damn team name. I see no one here addressing the original point.
