There has been war all over the world since the dawn of humans. I think the attitude you recommend is about the worst one could adopt. There ARE good guys and bad guys in the middle east, and we should not lump them all together as “these idiots”. We can root for the better side, if nothing else. Change isn’t always good, but frequently it is.
