Question: I see some people refer to him as Lukashenko and others as Lukashenka. Why is that?

I’m not sure honestly. In Czech and Slovak, women have an -ova at the end of their last names. My cousin has this while those of us who have the family surname in the US do not. But I don’t know a lot about Belorussian naming conventions versus other Slavic ones.
