re: #268 stabby

I haven’t bothered to read the whole thread, but at the point I’m responding you are soooooo wrong.

Ok.

It takes, well to be honest it took me something like 10 minutes to perfectly match the document.

MS word default settings.
Times New Roman, as automatically installed on Windows 2000.
Default tab positions.

Just type and and print to an electronic document and viola, a perfect match.

It’s a fucking proof to some astronomical probability level.

On the link I posted, they said there were divergences that people didn’t notice. (Not defending them; just offering the counterpoint.)

There is NO fucking way that the document didn’t come out of Microsoft Word because a million little points match with no adjustment. Perfect kerning choices. Each fucking letter is spaced right.

It’s not that “it’s impossible for 70 technology to print a document like this” it’s that it matches at thousands of arbitrary choices without adjustment in a way that nothing would EXCEPT WHAT IT CAME FROM.

Cool. As I said up-thread, I’m reasonably sure (90%) that you’re right.

Thanks!
