That’s a rather common mentality in Argentina.

THere was a whole hierarchy of class in South America/Mexico starting with Black slaves born in Afrika at the bottom to White Europeans born in Europe at the top.

They had it all figured out from if your mother was a Black slave born in Afrika and your father was a Native of South America your status was higher than if both parents were black, born in Afrika. If both your parents were Black slaves, but born in South America, you were higher than —you get the idea. There was probably a different standard for those born under a full moon to non-prostitutes ….

I remember reading about it and thinking, geez, these people had a lot of time to memorize this shit.
