Love ‘em. I have a Slavic background. My one brother will still make a batch from time to time. I buy some of the store brands and go with onions caramelized in a little darkly browned butter. A little sour cream. Sometimes I just go with a pasta sauce

Also used to love potato pancakes that were something my family used to make. I had an uncle that made them the best. I’ve very rarely come across those. Hard to explain, but the consistency was like a thin dough with a taste like hash browns. They used to have a tomato sauce to ladle over them. I liked the ‘cakes all by themselves.

Like latkes? Love those w/sour cream, but have to avoid them these days.
