I do not doubt your experiences, SF. But, it’s been my experience that some on the left have this contempt and outright hatred of people on the right. I have no doubt it cuts both ways. Personally, I hold no malice to people on the left, I just think they are wrong. But, I can see people on my side have stepped up the vitriol lately. The left is enjoying political success right now, so they have the advantage of defense posturing. The right is out of power and acting as such. I just wish the level of hatred between the two would cool down…it is both side fostering it, and not an exclusive trait of the right.

Oh, I’ve witnessed the left-wing crap as well, and wouldn’t deny that it’s out there. But it does cut both ways. I will also say that I think it is more intense in people who do not know many people from ‘the other side’, and see them mostly as stereotypes.

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone would calm down just a little, though?
