I am a capitalist at heart. Even I know governments aren’t supposed to turn a profit. That’s why I don’t work for non-profits. I just can’t think any other way.

So, I totally understand the cognitive dissonance when it comes to the concept “run it like a business”. That would be the only way I would be able to do it —and it wouldn’t work.

Capitalism isn’t the problem, the problem is these delusional cons who have pie-in-the-sky ideas about capitalism. They treat the concept of “a business” and “markets” as if they are God, even though plenty of businesses come and go, succeed and fail.

Any dork who truly believes a government should be run this way needs to move to some stateless country like Afghanistan or some dictatorship where the country props up the business ventures of a couple rich families, since that seems to be their ideal.
