My sister is telling me about students in her grammar school who rely on the school free breakfast/lunch program so much that the nurse packs food from the school donated-food-drive kitchen >for some kids to take home over the weekend.

That shit ain’t right, and the state can’t necessarily fix all of it, but trying to minimize or take away what good the state can and is already doing in a shitty situation is soulless and evil.
