Nikki Haley might have made a good choice to be VP if not for two things:

1.) She’s bugnuts crazy, a slightly less stream of conscious-y Sarah Palin at best.

2.) This Confederate Flag issue has utterly soured the revanchist Tea Party whites on her, and they were already plenty disillusioned with her on multiple other issues going into last week.

She also needs a massive walk-in closet to hold all of her skeletons, has no discernible skills, and the Republicans really don’t need her to win South Carolina.
