Race is less important in the courts than lawyers - but in the end, if you are a POC you’ll probably not be able to afford a good lawyer due to the rest of the institutional racism in the nation.

I bet if you studied the data on defendants using public defenders African-Americans would get higher conviction rates and longer sentences than whites arrested on the same charges.
