That’s not just spelling, they are two different words. If you meant ‘mute’, you were using the wrong word with the right spelling.

Usually I wouldn’t pick on you for that, but this is instead of using the red dinger on you.

While we’re (sorta) on the topic, I’d like to point out that “principle” and “principal” are also different words. D_F, I’m looking at you.
