Perhaps there’s something of Calvinism in American protestantism and that’s why they can’t see the problems with Rand.

Someday we will be able to hatch out fully-formed adults, implant them with a basic education chip in their brainstems, and send them out into the world to realize their full potential.

Then we can have a full-on Randian free-for-all out there and it would make sense.

Until then, we grow up dependent on others and on society as a whole to nurture us. I want a social/economic/political system that reflects those interdependencies.
