If Alito is indeed thinking of stepping down, then Rao is the logical choice for McConnell to ram through to the Court. She’s the kind of right wing extremist that satisfies Trump and the right wing, plus is a woman who’d be more than willing to destroy civil and voting rights, and strike down Roe.
