We are going toward a paradigm where people seek out whatever media best confirms their pre-existing prejudices, IMHO. Yes, we need much better media efforts and manipulation on the “right’ but we are probably going to be seeing diminishing returns, especially from the print media.

A more center right version of the daily show would probably be as or more effective.

For most of America’s history the newspapers were like that. The ‘objective’ media is a Post WWII phenomenon driven by the initial scarcity of TV channels and the resultant need for news programs to appeal to the widest possible audiance.
