I’m not saying that my mind might also have gone there immediately. However, the representation of asteroids makes more sense. At least to me.

I would have eliminated this confusion by redeploying one of the potatoes to represent the single big asteroid that was either the only one or would have arrived slightly ahead of any recently separated fragments.
