This is the gun my son bought—he was down behind the apts practicing with water filled plastic bottles (with the woody hill as a buffer). Otherwise, he keeps it holstered. He bought it for protection only because his Charlotte neighborhood is a little sketchy and he lives alone.

I thought about getting one of those for camping in rattlesnake country but they are illegal here in California. The State has it’s own separate definition of short barreled shotgun that doesn’t distinguish between a gun originally designed to shoot from the shoulder and a rifled pistol that just happens to also chamber a shotshell.
