Yes, but you see, the left are not considered a traditional constituency for the nominally conservative Republican party. As for the “middle” -it’s a myth, a statistical artifact - there are no “Moderates” one way or the other.

Than I don’t know what the solution is. The GOP base is shrinking and you can’t win with just the base. BTW, I think there is very large middle or moderate group although you would not know it by hanging out on either fringe.
