When both sides are firing guns and throwing Molotov Cocktails at each other, then its no longer a protest. It can be termed many other things, such as ‘civil unrest’, ‘riot’ or ‘revolution’.

Those people in Kiev aren’t protestors any more. We need to pick which word describes them.

I’m curious about how the government or Russians are going to handle escalation. I don’t know how loyal the police will be if things get worse but I suppose the military would follow orders to crush the uprising if things get worse.
