Now, you can claim something isn’t there, but it is; the fellow’s father was, minimally, a socialist, certainly in favor of some rather radical interventions in the free market, using weapons if needed, and Barry claimed great inspiration from these beliefs. Draw your own conclusions, of course; maybe Barry just liked that his father was a sharp dresser, and that’s the influence he was speaking about.
