The European supremacy thing was sort of drilled into our heads from my father’s side. That we were of European stock so to speak and therefore superior to the “other” Argentinians. But, my asshole grandfather didn’t think my mother was perfect enough and that creep apparently called my mom a “veinte-veinte” (meaning 50/50) or a “pata sucia” (meaning dirty feet). The ass also pretty much rejected one of my other aunts because she was from Cuba. My paternal grandfather thought he was superior because he came to Argentina by way of Italy.

If anyone is superior it is because they get off their ass and go to work everyday and make their own way in the world, do the best they can in raising their children and try to live by their principles. What your father’s father did doesn’t mean shit as far as the present generation is concerned.

Both the sins and accomplishments of the father do not pass to the son . .IMHO.
