Which I don’t think it is. We can do what the Russians did to the SU-27 to the F-15, F-16, and F-18: Update and customize models. I’m sure we can find a way with American Ingenuity to make these aircraft stealthier.

I’d like to try to save the F-35 first. I want to take a hard look at the program, to see if it can be brought to rights. If it can’t, then it goes. But we’re cutting too many weapons programs already. We need to get at least one new “big war” system into large-scale service, just to prove we can. I want that to be the F-35, if it can be done.
