It’s true that some climate skeptics are talking nonsense. But you can say the same about environmentalists. The IPCC are about to scrape a passage about “melting glaciers in the Himalaya”, people found out this was completely untrue and was made up by a single, unknown Indian scientist. And then you’ve got Antarctica of course, which isn’t melting at all. There are even scientists suggesting the ice sheet there is growing.

It’s not like global warming is “settled science”. Here in the Netherlands, two major Universities and some influential scientists think natural factors are causing heating, and not the people on this planet. There is even much debate about a coming ice age, which is inevitable, as this is a natural cycle. That would be far worse than the 0,2 degrees Celsius heating in the last dozens of years, which isn’t that shocking at all!

We would be far better off having an honest debate about this issues, and give both skeptics and global warming believers a chance to do more research, get to know more about this planet.
