I have to argue with Mr. Twain’s thought. Would an opinion be much like a principle? I would say that our principles have freed many a soul and broken many a chain. Otherwise, we’d have to admit that we’ve never done anything in our country or foreign countries except as mercenaries. That would be a sad statement.

Yes, as we mature, grow, age our principles can change. With any luck they always have a sense of doing or being something positive. But there comes a time in everyone’s life where these principled opinions do become part of how we operate.
