I rather think the problem with going off the Iowa polls (which seems to be the big thing right now) is something I saw remarked upon by a pundit the other day: The first two states to weigh in are older and whiter than the national average, which means they skew further to the right and are going to be more comfortable with men like Biden and Bernie than they are Kamala Harris or Beto O’Rourke. The days of either state being a bellweather for the nation are long past.
