1) If the pass was that “damaged” it would have burped out of the machine each time (luggage check in,, security,, gate) causing closer physical inspection
2) again, he’d have to gone to at least two out of the three check points and I find the gate people are usually more thorough than the security is (in terms of checking the actual pass,, they run it through the scanner AND look it over
3) they do

1) The machines burp passes all the time…it just means the people need to look at them…and people make mistakes.

2)multiple runs through the same screening procedure just makes it increasing unlikely mistake slip through. If there is a flaw in the implementation it doesn’t matter how many times you do it, it’s still going to fail.

3)I would be very surprised if the boarding pass system didn’t have some wiggle room built in…
