How does someone with as much baggage as Jackson has even get to the level of Lt. Gov candidate for any party?

Well, in Virginia parties can either nominate their candidates via primary or convention. These conventions are dominated by nutcases like Jackson. These are the people who very nearly made Bob “Downs Syndrome is God’s punishment for women having abortions” Marshall their nominee for Senate a few years back. But of course look at who’s the top of this ticket. Cuccinelli should be grateful that Jackson’s problems are distracting from how nuts he is too though he of course can’t really hide from Jackson since there’s a lot of audio of him strongly supporting Jackson.
