According to the right, Alinsky provided THE blueprint for a commie take-over of the United States. Considering how well this has worked out for the Reds over the last 40 years, you might wonder why the wingnuts consider it a threat at all. By any reasonable standard, Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals are a relic of a bygone era, like chunks of the Berlin Wall or something.
The answer is an amazing insight into the alternate reality of wingnut perception: According to them, Alinsky’s guidelines succeeded, the lefties did take over and we are living in an essentially socialist, collectivized state. The far right sees itself as a last bastion of resistance to leftist control, like Ukrainian kulaks, and similarly in immediate danger of extinction at the hands of ObamaStalin. In its own addled view, the TP movement is a revolutionary force, attempting to overthrow lefty dominance and restore righteousness and American values.
