Given that Peretz is a well-known bigot, nothing he says on the issue is of value. One might as well listen to Helen Thomas’ opinion.

That said, what qualifies as a failure? I would say that electing theocratic party majorities is certainly at least close.

That’s only assuming that they act in an undemocratic manner, or refuse to relinquish power once voted out.
