He didn’t actually say what you say he did. You read into what he said the words you add. I think that says more about you than it does him.

He directly quoted O’Reilly, who did say those things. And O’Reilly is wrong; government helping Americans in need is a tradition that goes back at least eighty years. O’Reilly then, obviously is using “traditional” as code for “white men.”
