Who needs radio anyway? Meh. A fading technology, going to decline in importance as we get more of whatever we want from online. How relevant is news/traffic radio if you have a good smart phone, Spotify or Pandora and Waze for traffic?

Seems so 20th century.

Wow, that’s a terrible way to look at it- it’s a cheap way to get local broadcasting across a broad spectrum of society. Not everyone has a good smart phone or even cable.
