Don’t go away on my account! I don’t disagree that there are people who have plans to deal with this crisis—I just meant that the GOP will not be part of that, and in fact will obstruct every effort to save us.

I think they’ll go down. Think of the Soviet Union in 1953, when the Party and the Military ganged up against Beria and broke up the MVD. I think something like that will happen. The GOP base, of course will go apeshit, and there will be bloodshed, but they’re much less potent a force than they think they are.

It’s not you…it’s me.

I’ve always been a political animal and never has it been so tough to try to remain positive.

I’ve always believed in America being good, and if threats inside this nation come up, the good guys put it down.

To hear others now say that is not going to happen and to be sure it will all turn to crap is just real hard to take.

So sometimes it is just better to go away and await developments.

It was my mistake for mentioning it. I should just log out and stay away.
