Had Barr as his AG and pardoned those involved in Iran-contra? who (and this one really irritated me) lost our ability to be in the race for the superconducting super collider by awarding the contract to his home state Texas rather than Illinois, where it was decimated by fire ants and left us permanently behind? The guy who abandoned the Kurds after they helped us win the first Gulf War — and only changed his policy when he was shamed by the reaction.

You do realize that a least bad Republican president to me is like a favorite bodyache. My point is that the right of the party despises HW Bush because he wasn’t as rigid as Reagan, W, and now Trump.There’s a reason why Buchanan primaried him and why Ann Coulter called him a wuss. Do not confuse me saying someone was a least bad Republican president with being a good President. The best Republican President of hte past 100 years is Ike and it’s not even close. The best Republican President of all time is Lincoln and it’s not even close. The Republican Party has been on a pathetic downward spiral ever since Lincoln died.
