I share the concern. As I noted before, based on my VERY limited observation of the DC (Lafayette Park) tea party, it did not appear to be the case there.

The tea party idea was an honest effort by honest folks who are upset by the direction in DC. They are for the most part working folks busy with work and family. The whole political activism thing is new territory for them.

On the other hand for hard core Paulbots and other kooks and loony toons activism is their bread and butter.

The result is the honest part of the Tea Bag protests has been blindsided by the kooks and loons.
