This research into the chronology of human migration out of Africa fascinates me. it’s forced anthropologists and paleontologists to rethink the old hypotheses about the spread of humankind around the globe.

On a more recent timescale, my own DNA tests have shown that my paternal line is Celtic, not Germanic (I haz the L21 marker , for those in the know), which may or may not explain my appreciation of bagpipe music.
