Charles, I believe you’ve shown at least one state GOP platform here that explicitly supports creationism. Do you know if the party’s platform has taken a stand on this at the national level?

The Texas GOP platform (PDF) contains the following:

Theories of Origin – We support objective teaching and equal treatment of strengths and weaknesses of scientific theories, including Intelligent Design. We believe theories of life origins and environmental theories should be taught as scientific theory, not scientific law.
